Comments: The temperature here was not hot, perhaps 60 but a small breeze kept me chilled so I put on a jacket. What you see after ascending the infamous 99 switchbacks. Prior to this point, the view only extends out to Lone Pine. Here you can see down to Guitar Lake and out to many ranges of High Sierra peaks to the west. I rested here for 45 minutes, then tackled the summit.
