Comments: The location is just after the first bridge on Butano Creek Trail. It had rained briefly the night before so everything was wet. There was a fine specimen of skunk cabbage in bloom at the stream on this cloudy day. I clambered up to the opposite bank to find a whole patch of this relatively scarce plant. Lots of people were out hiking. Along the trail could be seen milkmaids, trillium, redwood violets, forget-me-nots, redwood sorrel, and hooker's fairy bell, all in bloom.
