Comments: In Spring of 1997 I went for a late afternoon walk at Stanford's open space while everything was green and sprouting. Slightly off the road was this beautiful California buckeye tree. Stanford's radio astronomy "big dish" is visible on the horizon. Today you could not take this panorama under the tree for most of the preserve is now off limits to people.
