Comments: We took awhile
to get here since our packs were fully loaded for a 4 day trip to Mt. Whitney
from Onion Valley. Unfortunately there was some smokey haze onthe western
horizon due to a wildfire in the Sequoia NP. When we first got to the pass,
a through hiker with a bayonet strapped to his
chest pulled in from the west.
We talked to him for awhile, then enjoyed the awesome scenery. |

FullScreen
VRs provide greater immersion in the scene. Instead of appearing inside
a browser window, the VR is opened using the QuickTime Player. The panorama
is
then displayed the full width of your monitor, and all other windows
are blacked out (temporarily). It's hard to describe how incredible the
impact is, especially on a larger monitor. You still use your mouse to
navigate around. When you are done looking at the
scene,
press
the "esc" (or
Escape) key and your normal desktop will return. (Click
