Comments: Mt. Whitney
towers over the landscape here like a castle of granite. Many people were
arriving here today and just relaxing around the giant ampitheatre that
the lake basin is. |

FullScreen
VRs provide greater immersion in the scene. Instead of appearing inside
a browser window, the VR is opened using the QuickTime Player. The panorama
is
then displayed the full width of your monitor, and all other windows
are blacked out (temporarily). It's hard to describe how incredible the
impact is, especially on a larger monitor. You still use your mouse to
navigate around. When you are done looking at the
scene,
press
the "esc" (or
Escape) key and your normal desktop will return. (Click
for more info on FullScreen mode) |
