Comments: The trail
from Guitar Lake to Trail Crest and then Mt. Whitney switchbacks endlessly
up what seems like a vertical wall of rock. As I was hiking upwards, I
noticed the sun's rays hitting the mountain range west of Mt. Whitney's
massif. The silhouette of Whitney and the towering rock spires south of
it are visibly projected onto the mountain. |

High-resolution
FullScreen VRs provide greater immersion in the scene and more detail.
Instead of appearing inside a browser window, the VR is opened using
the QuickTime Player. The panorama is then displayed the full width of
your monitor, and all other windows are blacked out (temporarily). It's
hard to describe how incredible the impact is, especially on a larger
monitor. You still use your mouse to navigate around. When you are done
looking at the scene,
press
the "esc" (or
Escape) key and your normal desktop will return. (Click
for more info on FullScreen mode) |
